In a Notification dated 8th December, 2020, the Andhra Pradesh Government has introduced an online payment facility for the contributions to be made under Andhra Pradesh Labour Welfare Fund Act, 1987 (“Act”) and mandated that all contributions be made online only.
The Notification is issued by the Labour Factories Boilers and Insurance Medical Services Department (“Department”) in furtherance one of the recommendations of Department of Industrial Policy and Promotion which required that “collection of contributions under Andhra Pradesh Labour Welfare Fund Act, 1987 should be made through an online system.”

The detailed process for making online payment under the Act is provided in the Annexure to the Notification. The Department has mandated that going forward all contributions from both employers and employees must be remitted through online mode only.
