Andhra Pradesh Govt. introduces Scheme for registration under Andhra Pradesh Shops and Establishments Act and Trade License through a single form, with a view to simplify legal compliances

With a view to implement Ease of Doing Business, the Labour Factories Boilers & IMS Department, Andhra Pradesh (“Department”), through a Gazette Notification dated 8th December, 2020 has introduced a Scheme for registration under Andhra Pradesh Shops and Establishments Act, 1988 (“Act”) and Trade License through a single form which will simplify legal compliances for wide range of establishments/trades/shops on e-municipal system and m-panchayat system on the following process.

1. The entrepreneur applying for trade license will be asked whether they are eligible for registration under the Act. If yes, the entrepreneur will be asked to register under the Act along with an application for trade license.
2. In addition to information for trade license, the entrepreneur has to also fill up the details of registration under the Act.
3. After payment of the fee, the entrepreneur will be provided an instant registration under the Act and provisional trade license certificate.
4. The information of registration has to be shared with the Registration system of labour department.
5. The amount collected under the Act must be deposited with AP Treasury as per relevant DDO Code.
The abovementioned Scheme has been introduced considering the recommendations of the Government of India, Dept of Industries and Commerce and Promotion.

Please note that the Form for Integrated Trade License and Registration under the Act is annexed as Annexure I to the present Notification.
