CPCB revises the Guidelines for Handling, Treatment and Disposal of Waste Generated during Treatment/Diagnosis/ Quarantine of COVID-19 Patients; suppresses previous guidelines dated 10th June, 2020

The Central Pollution Control Board (“CPCB”) has issued a revised version of Guidelines for Handling, Treatment and Disposal of Waste Generated during Treatment/Diagnosis/ Quarantine of COVID-19 Patients (“Guideline”).

The present Guideline is issued in suppression of earlier guidelines uploaded by CBCB on 10th June, 2020.

The Guideline provides a revised guidance on segregation of general solid waste and biomedical waste from quarantine centers /home-care/healthcare facilities treating COVID-19 patients and to recommend on disposal of PPEs.
