In furtherance of the Code on Wages, 2019 (Code) being notified by the Central Government, the Madhya Pradesh Labour Department has, on 24th December 2020, published the draft Madhya Pradesh Code on Wages Rules, 2020 (Draft Rules).
Comments and suggestions are invited on the Draft Rules by 7th February, 2021. The same may be addressed to –
a. The Deputy Secretary to the government of Madhya Pradesh, Department of Labour, mantralaya Vallabh Bhawan Bhopal; or
b. Labour Commissioner, Government of Madhya Pradesh, 518, New Moti Bunglow, MG Road, Indore – 452007

The Draft Rules proposes to suppress the Minimum Wages (Madhya Pradesh) Rules, 1958 and the Madhya Pradesh payment of Wages Rules, 1962 and aims to give effect to the Code in the state of Madhya Pradesh.
