Karnataka Govt. introduces auto-renewal system for certificates/registrations/licenses under Key Labour Acts just by paying the fees online; Applicants will not have to file any separate application

In view of Ease of Doing Business (“EODB”), the Government of Karnataka has gone ahead and simplified the renewal procedures for certificates / registrations / licenses for establishments by introducing an auto-renewal system with online payment of fees under certain Acts.

The auto-renewal system is in force and will be applicable for the following Acts –

1. Registration under the Karnataka Shops and Commercial Establishments Act, 1961;

2. License under the Contract labour (Regulation and Abolition) Act, 1970;

3. License under the Inter-State Migrant Workmen (Regulation of Employment and Conditions of Service) Act, 1979;

4. License under the Factories Act, 1948.

The auto-renewal system is being introduced to simplify the existing rules and to make the whole process transparent.

Now, the applicant / businesses will not need to file any separate application. The licenses / registrations and certificates will be renewed by paying the fees online. The applicant can download the digitally signed approval certificate through Department’s portal.
