Karnataka State Pollution Control Board have developed online system features to automate industry service approvals process in order to facilitate ease of doing business in the state

The Karnataka State Pollution Control Board, with a view to enable ease of doing business in the State, has developed online systems for industry services (consents /  authorisations / registrations / renewals) where service approvals shall be applied, accepted and processed mandatorily through online mode.

 

The following features are mandated in the online system for industry or organisational services:

 

  1. Online application, uploading of documents and submission of application by the Applicant.
  2. E-Payment of Application fee for the industry or organisation services.
  3. Online processing and approval by concerned board officials and approving authorities.
  4. Online facility for tracking application status.
  5. Digitally signed final approval certificate from applicant login.
  6. Integration of SMS and emails with the online system so that the applicants can receive notifications at critical stages of application processing.
  7. Online provision of third party verification about the authenticity of the consent/authorisation/registration granted by the Board.
  8. Disposal of application within the stipulated timeline as mandated under SAKALA ( Public service guarantee act).
  9. Online provision for applicant and concerned officers to view download the inspection reports.

 

The above feature of online system can be availed for the following :

 

  1. Disposal of consent for establishment / expansion applications under water ( Prevention & Control of pollution) Act 1974, and Air (Prevention & control of pollution Act) 1981.
  2. Disposal of consent for operation applications under Water (Prevention & Control of pollution) Act 1974, and Air (Prevention & control of pollution Act) 1981.
  3. Disposal of authorisation applications under Hazardous and other Waste ( Management & Transboundary movement) Rules 2016.
  4. Disposal of Registration applications under plastic waste management Rules 2016
  5. Disposal of authorisation applications under E-waste management Rules, 2016.

 

Note : It is important to mention here that all applications must be submitted through online mode only as offline applications are not being accepted. This is effective 07.12.2020.
