Madhya Pradesh Government eases lockdown restrictions; night curfew to now be observed from 10pm to 5am as opposed to the earlier timing of 8 pm to 5 am; lockdown lifted on Saturdays

In an Order dated 6th August, 2020, the Madhya Pradesh Government has relaxed the night curfew in the State and has further lifted lockdown on Saturdays as detailed below.

Lockdown on Weekends: Now, the Government has informed that all markets will be closed on Sundays only.

Night Curfew: Night curfew will now be observed from 10 pm to 5 am as opposed to the earlier timing of 8 pm to 5 am.

Background:

In an earlier Order dated 20th July, 2020 directions were issued to enforce lockdown on Sundays and on Saturdays or Mondays in such a manner that lockdown is implemented for a consecutive period of 2 days.

The present Order clarifies that lockdowns on Saturdays have been completely lifted.
