Rajasthan SPCB issues processing fees and timelines for making application of authorization/one time authorization/renewal of authorization under the Hazardous Wastes Rules, effective 18.02.2020

The Rajasthan State Pollution Control Board (“Board”) has, in a Notification dated 18th February, 2020, published the processing fee payable for applications for authorization/one time authorization for hazardous waste under the Hazardous and Other Wastes [Management & Transboundary Movement) Rules, 2016 (“Rules”) as follows:

The Board has also prescribed the timelines for making an application under the Rules and the late fee to be paid for delay as follows:

Type of Application Timeline for making application Late Fee
Application for authorization under the Rules 120 days before the commissioning of the plant For delay in making the application, an additional fee of 25% of the prescribed fee has to be paid with such application
Application for renewal of authorization under the Rules 120 days before the expiry of validity of authorization i. For delay in making the application, an additional fee of 25% of the applicable fee has to be paid

 

ii. Where the application for renewal of authorization is made after expiry of the validity of authorization, an additional fee of 500/o of the prescribed fee has to be paid.

 

The processing fees and the timelines prescribed under the Notification are effective immediately.
