West Bengal notifies partial modification to earlier lockdown Order; withdraws State-wide lockdown on 28th August, 2020 (Friday); complete lockdown to be implemented on 20th, 21st, 27th and 31st August, 2020

The Government of West Bengal has withdrawn the State-wide lockdown on Friday 28th August, 2020.

The Government received several communications w.r.t. difficulty in conducting businesses and banking operations because of 2 days lockdown during Thursday and Friday in the last week of August, 2020 followed by one day lockdown on the following Monday.

Therefore, in partial modification to the earlier Order, the lockdown on Friday 28th August, 2020 has been withdrawn and now the State-wide lockdown will be observed on the following days –

Thursday 20th August; Friday 21st August; Thursday 27th August and Monday 31st August.
