Karnataka Government extends last date of payment of contributions under the Karnataka Labour Welfare Fund Act , 1965 till 31st January, 2023 instead of 15th January, 2023

The Government of Karnataka has informed that the last date of payment of contributions under the Karnataka Labour Welfare Fund Act , 1965 has been extended till 31^st January, 2023 instead of 15^th January, 2023 considering requests received from various factories and firms as they are facing technical problem for payment of contribution.

Please note, delay in payment of contribution will attract penal interest at the rate of 12% for first three months and after 3 months 18% on the amount due falling to pay contribution will attract initiation of legal proceedings by Labour Department officers and inspection by Welfare Commissioner.
