Legal Manager (NBFC/BFSI)

Job Summary

We are seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented legal professional with 6–7 years of experience in the NBFC/BFSI sector to join our compliance management team. The role involves advising clients on regulatory compliance, monitoring legal risks, and ensuring adherence to applicable financial laws and regulations.

Key Responsibilities

• Interpret and implement regulatory requirements issued by authorities such as RBI, SEBI, and other financial regulators.
• Develop and manage compliance checklists, calendars, and risk assessment frameworks for clients.
• Monitor regulatory updates and assess their impact on business operations and client compliance requirements.
• Provide legal and regulatory advisory to clients in the NBFC/BFSI sector on applicable laws, guidelines, and circulars.
• Support in implementation of compliance management systems and tools.
• Conduct compliance audits and gap assessments for NBFCs and financial institutions.
• Liaise with internal stakeholders and clients to ensure timely compliance and closure of action items.
• Contribute to knowledge management, training content, and thought leadership initiatives.

Key Skills & Competencies

• Strong understanding of NBFC regulations, financial laws, and compliance frameworks.
• Familiarity with RBI regulations, Companies Act, FEMA, and other relevant financial legislations.
• Ability to manage multiple clients and assignments simultaneously.
• Strong stakeholder management and communication skills.
• Detail-oriented with a proactive and solution-driven approach.

Qualification

• LL.B. / LL.M. from a recognized university
• 6–7 Years of relevant industry experience
