CPCB hosts website to monitor phasing out Single Use Plastic (SUP); launches mobile application where public can file complaints against the use of SUP items
In continuation to what has been reported by us in the trailing e-mail, the Central Pollution Control Board has developed a website (http://cpcbplastic.in/sup/) where Urban Local Bodies, State and CPCB authorities may login and monitor the status of compliance with the phasing out of the use, distribution, production and sale of Single Use Plastic (SUP) items by all e-commerce companies, commercial establishments (including office complexes), Producers, Stockists, Retailers, Shopkeepers, Street Vendors and general public.
Along with this, the Board has also launched a mobile application known as “SUP-CPCB”, through which, the citizens/public can address their grievances and lodge complaints against the use of SUP.
