Public comments invited on draft Karnataka Shops and Commercial Establishments (Amendment) Rules, 2025

The Karnataka Government (“Government”) has invited comments/suggestions on draft Karnataka Shops and Commercial Establishments (Amendment) Rules, 2025 (“Draft Amendment”) to further amend the Karnataka Shops and Commercial Establishments Rules, 1963 (“Principal Rules”).

Objections or suggestions may be addressed to the Secretary to Government, Labour Department, Room No.414, 4th Floor, Vikasa Soudha, Dr. B.R. Ambedkar Veedhi, Bengaluru-560 001 till 11th October 2025.

The Draft Amendment proposes to omit the requirement of maintaining registers and records and display of notices for employers employing less than 10 employees.
