Fresh Draft of Maharashtra Industrial Relation Rules, 2026 issued; comments invited by 12th June, 2026

The Maharashtra Labour Department has issued a fresh draft of the Maharashtra Industrial Relation Rules, 2026 (“Draft Rules”) under the Industrial Relations Code, 2020 (“Code”). These Draft Rules are applicable to the whole State of Maharashtra in respect to the industrial establishments and matters for which the State Government is the appropriate Government.

Objections and suggestions, if any, may be addressed to the Commissioner of Labour, Maharashtra State, Kamgar Bhawan, C 20, E Block, Bandra Kurla Complex, Bandra (East), Mumbai 400051 or on email- mh.labourcodes.rules@gmail.com. within 45 days i.e., 12^th June, 2026.

The objections and suggestions should be sent in a proforma containing column (i) specifying the name and address of the person or organization and column (ii) specifying the rule or sub-rule which is proposed to be modified and column (iii) specifying the revised rule or sub-rule proposed to be substituted and reasons thereof.
