Maharashtra Government revises consent fee rates for establishing industries, commencing production, and for consent letters issued to mining projects

The Government of Maharashtra has issued a resolution revising the rates of consent fee charged by the Maharashtra Pollution Control Board (“MPCB”) for grant of Consolidated Consent and Authorization for establishing industries, commencing production, and for consent letters issued to mining projects under the Air Act, the Water Act and the applicable waste management rules. Accordingly, a single combined fee will now be levied in lieu of separate fees under the Air Act and the Water Act. This is effective from 25^th August 2026.
