Assam Govt. exempts standalone DG Sets upto 1MVA capacity from the purview of consent management of the State Pollution Control Board
The State Pollution Control Board, Assam has issued a notification to exempt standalone DG Sets upto 1MVA capacity from the purview of consent management of the Board subject to the condition that the DG set should be operated with proper acoustic enclosure and chimney of adequate height .
Further, it has also been highlighted that the bulk users of DG sets like the telecom companies should comply with the provisions of the Hazardous and Other Wastes (Management and Transboundary Movement) Rules, 2016 and ensure that subsequently the hazardous and other wastes are given to authorised actual users, waste collectors, or operator of disposal facility in accordance with the Central Pollution Control Board (“CPCB”) guidelines.
