Comments invited on draft Rights of Persons with Disabilities (Amendment) Rules, 2023 to include the Accessibility Standards and Guidelines for the Culture sector

Ministry of Social Justice and Empowerment proposes to amend the Rights of Persons with Disabilities Rules, 2017 while inviting objections and comments till 9th June, 2023 on the draft Rights of Persons with Disabilities (Amendment) Rules, 2023 (Draft Amendment Rules).

The Draft Amendment Rules prescribe the Accessibility Standards and Guidelines for the Culture sector (Monuments/Sites/Museums and Libraries) as specified in the notification of Ministry of Culture, Government of India, vide number G.S.R. 7, dated the 18th January, 2023 (Guidelines attached for reference).
