FSSAI directs Commissioners of Food Safety of States to carry out special drives to sensitize FBOs to declare the licence /registration number on cash receipts, bills, etc. on sale of food products
The Food Safety and Standards Authority of India (“FSSAI”) has directed Commissioners of Food Safety of States to carry out special drives to sensitize Food Business Operators (“FBOs”) to mention FSSAI licence / registration number on cash receipt / invoices / cash memo / bills generated on sale of food products.
Further, it has been suggested that awareness campaigns including the use of TV / Print / social media can also be conducted under their respective jurisdictions to highlight the same to all stakeholders. including consumers to ensure that the above-mentioned compliance requirement is duly followed.
The Action taken Report in this regard must be shared with the FSSAI office by 15th October, 2022.
