FSSAI issues the Food Safety and Standards (Food Products Standards and Food Additives) Fifth Amendment Regulations, 2021; FBOs to comply by 1st June, 2022

The Food Safety and Standards Authority of India (FSSAI) has notified the Food Safety and Standards (Food Products Standards and Food Additives) Fifth Amendment Regulations, 2021, to amend the Food Safety and Standards (Food Products Standards and Food Additives) Regulations, 2011.

Apart from the additions and alterations mentioned in the draft regulations, which we reported in the trail mail; the term “Multi-Sourced Edible Vegetable Oil” has been replaced by “Multi-source Edible Oil” under Regulations related to Fats, Oils and Fat Emulsions.

All the food business operators are required to comply with the regulations by 1st June, 2022.
