Govt. of Karnataka issues COVID-19 precautions for general public in light of ensuing festive season

The Health and Family Welfare Department, Karnataka has issued the following directions to the general public in light of the ensuing festive season and Kannada Rajyotsava-

1. People with symptoms like fever, cold, sore throat, breathing difficulties etc. are required to compulsorily get tested immediately at the nearest hospital and isolate themselves ill the results are received;

2. Those with breathing difficulties should seek urgent medical care;

3. Wearing a mask while indoors, in places with air conditioning, not well ventilated, closed places is mandatory. Elderly and co-morbid wear face masks in public areas;

4. Festivities should be observed outdoors and crowding indoors to be avoided;

5. Those who are due for booster/precautionary dose of vaccination are required to get vaccinated. People who are aged 60 years and above and have co-morbidities should ensure that they get vaccinated;

6. Covid Appropriate behavior like coughing and sneezing into folded elbows, use of tissues, / handkerchief, etc. should be followed.
