Ministry of Commerce extends the Work From Home facility for IT / ITES units till 31.12.2022; IT / ITES units urged to gradually increase physical presence of employees in SEZ premises in Noida

In view of the existing incidence of COVID-19 and with a view to facilitate the transition for IT / ITES units, the Ministry of Commerce and Industry (“Ministry”) has extended the Work From Home facility till 31st December, 2022 or until further Orders whichever is earlier.

Further, the Ministry has urged the IT / ITES units to gradually increase the physical presence of their employees in the Special Economic Zone premises located in Noida, Uttar Pradesh, depending on how the situation pans out.

Background:

In a Circular dated 22nd December, 2021, the Ministry had extended the Work from Home Facility till 30th June, 2022.
