Ministry of Health releases revised National List of Essential Medicines; 34 new drugs added to list and 26 drugs deleted

The Union Health Ministry has released a revised list of medicines and drugs under the National List of Essential Medicines, 2022 (“NLEM 2022”). Thirty-four (34) new drugs, which were not part of erstwhile National List of Essential Medicines, 2015 (NLEM 2015) have been included while twenty-six (26) drugs that were part of the NLEM 2015 have also been deleted from the latest list under NLEM 2022.
