In sync with the Plastic Waste Management (Amendment) Rules, 2021 which mandates to stop the use, distribution, production and sale of single use plastic items and ensure zero inventory by 30th June, 2022 and the Central Pollution Control Board’s notice re-iterating the same to all e-commerce companies, commercial establishments (including office complexes), producers, stockists, retailers, shopkeepers, street vendors and general public, the Pollution Control Boards / Committees of States and Union Territories have rolled out orders / notifications on the same, effective from 1st July, 2022.
