PCB, Assam rolls out Order for implementation of integrated Guidance framework for Chemical Safety w.r.t isolated storage and industries covered under the Manufacture, Storage and Import of Hazardous Chemical Rules, 1989

The Pollution Control Board, Assam has issued an Office Order regarding implementation of integrated Guidance framework for Chemical Safety in respect of Isolated Storage and Industries covered under the Manufacture, Storage, And Import of Hazardous Chemical Rules, 1989 (“Rules”).

Now, all Regional Heads have to ensure that Isolated Storage and Industries covered under the abovementioned Rules have to submit the following information prior to forwarding their CTO/CTE application to the Head Office-

• Details on Onsite emergency pan
• Safety reports and safety audit reports in accordance with the Rules.

Any deviation will lead to rejection of the application.
