RBI for the third time extends validity of Entrepreneurs Memorandum and Udyog Aadhaar Memorandum of MSMEs to 31st March, 2022

Previously, in a Notification dated 19^th January, 2022, the MSME had notified that the enterprises already in existence and registered till 30^th June, 2020 shall continue to be valid till 31^st March, 2022.

In view of the same, the Reserve Bank of India, for the third time through an official notification has extended the period of validity of Entrepreneurs Memorandum and Udyog Aadhaar memorandum of the MSMEs to 31^st March, 2022 provided that the registration is obtained on or before 30^th June, 2020. Earlier, the period of validity was till 31^st December, 2021.

Further, it has been clarified that the documents obtained in order to ascertain investment in plant and machinery for classification of an enterprise as a MSME (mentioned in RBI circular dated 13^th July, 2017) will also remain valid till 31^st March, 2022.
