Certain provisions of the ESI Act, 1948 to be effective in specific Districts of Bihar from 1st June, 2023
The Ministry of Labour and Employment has notified that the following provisions of the Employees’ State Insurance Act, 1948, will gain effect in all areas of Arwal, Jamui, Kaimur, Khagaria, Kishanganj, Madhepura, Madhubani, Nawada, Purnia, Sheikhpura and West Champaran districts in Bihar from 1st June, 2023:
• Sections 38 to 43 and sections 45A to 45H of Chapter IV (Contributions);
• Sections 46 to 73 of Chapter V (Benefits); and
• Sections 74, 75, sub-sections (2) to (4) of section 76, 80, 82 and 83 of Chapter VI (Adjudication of Dispute and Claims).
