Instead of exempting Shops and Establishments from renewing registrations, going forward employers in Andhra Pradesh to auto-renew S&E licenses through Mee-Seva portal

Now, employers in Andhra Pradesh will have to auto-renew Shops & Establishments licenses after submitting self-certification and paying fees online directly through Mee-Seva portal. Previously, shops and commercial establishments in Andhra Pradesh were totally exempted from renewing the S&E licenses. (Refer trail update)

The renewal process has been enabled to all kiosks under the Application for integrated registration of establishment under Labour Laws.

Since this document was not available in the Departmental portal, we checked with the State Labour Department (086 62436313) and were informed that the notification was signed on 22.03.2022 and not yet published on the website and they will upload it shortly.

Background:

This auto-renewal of registration is introduced to replace the total exemption from renewal of registration, where shops and commercial establishments in Andhra Pradesh were not required to renew licenses under the shops and establishments act after the expiry of the license period.
