Owing to general elections in Haryana, 30.10.2022 & 02.11.2022 to be paid holiday for all adult workers working in factories, shops & commercial establishments enrolled as voters in specific districts (Bhiwandi, Khajjar, Jind, Kaithal) etc.

Owing to the General election of the Panches, Sarpanch of Gram Panchayats, Member of Panchayat Samitis and Zila Parishads in the State of Haryana, the Labour Department, Government of Haryana (“Department”) has issued the following two separate notifications for shops and commercial establishments and factories operating in the state of Haryana informing :
1. All adult workers working in the factories situated in Haryana and voters in the districts of Bhiwandi, Khajjar, Jind, Kaithal, Mahendergarh, Nuh, Panchkula, Panipat and Yamunanagar should not be required to work on 30th October, 2022 and 2nd November, 2022.

2. 30th October, 2022 (Sunday) and 2nd November, 2022 (Wednesday) to be the paid holiday for all shops and commercial establishments falling in the above-mentioned Districts, where the election is going to be held only for those employees who are enrolled as voters in the aforesaid Districts to enable them to cast their votes.
