Maharashtra Govt. invites comments on its proposals to revise minimum wages for employees engaged in industries manufacturing soaps, cosmetics and liquor till 01.01.2024

With a view to revise the rates of minimum wages, the Maharashtra Industries, Energy, Labour and Mining Department has issued draft notifications proposing modifications in the minimum wages payable to the employees employed in the following Scheduled Employment :

• Employment in liquor manufactory
• Employment in any industry manufacturing Soaps and Cosmetics

Objections/Suggestions, if any must be addressed to the Commissioner of Labour, Kamgar Bhavan, ‘E’ Block, C-20, Bandra-Kurla Complex, Bandra (East), Mumbai – 400051 before 1st January, 2024 i.e., within 2 months from the publication of the notifications in the official Gazette.
