Central Pollution Control Board issues guidelines for acceptance of Certification System for Continuous Emission (Air) and Monitoring Systems; lays down the list of certificates to be issued by NPL India Certificate Board

The Central Pollution Control Board (“CPCB”) has issued guidelines for acceptance of Certification System for Continuous Emission (Air) and Monitoring Systems (“CEMS”). The following certificates for CEMS will be issued by NPL India Certificate Board for acceptance by CPCB:

1. Verification Certificate – Applicable for CEMS instruments without pre-existing international certification.
2. Product Conformity Certificate – Applicable for CEMS instruments without pre-existing international certification.
3. Provisional Letter of Confirmation: Applicable for CEMS instruments without pre-existing international certificate if the instruments are under ‘Product Conformity Test’.

Please note that while the notification is dated 30th August 2025, the notification was made available on the official website on a later date, i.e. 19th September 2025.
