Central Government notifies 17th September 2026 as effective date of enhancement of EPFO Wage Ceiling from Rs 15000 to Rs 25000

The Ministry of Labour and Employment has notified 17^th September 2026 as the date on which the wage ceiling of Rs.25000 per month for the purpose ofmandatory coverage under the Employees’ Provident Fund Organisation (“EPFO”) becomes effective. It supersedes the notification no. S.O. 2702 (e) dated 29^th May 2026, which had notified Rs.15,000 as the wage ceiling for Chapter III of Code on Social Security.
