ESIC extends ESI contribution requirements for establishments in specified districts of Madhya Pradesh w.e.f. 1st October 2026

The Employees’ State Insurance Corporation (“ESIC”) has provided that the contributions from employers and employees of establishments in the entire area of one non-implemented district, namely Niwari, and in the entire areas of 24 partially implemented districts, namely Agar Malwa, Alirajpur, Anuppur, Ashoknagar, Balaghat, Barwani, Betul, Chhatarpur, Damoh, Datia, Harda, Jhabua, Mandla, Narsinghpur, Panna, Rajgarh, Seoni, Sheopur, Shivpuri, Sidhi, Tikamgarh, Umaria, Vidisha and Dindori, in the State of Madhya Pradesh, will be payable under Section 29 of the Code on Social Security, 2020, and any benefits under Chapter IV of the Code relating to the Employees’ State Insurance Corporation (“ESIC”) will be provided by the Corporation to the employees of such establishments, with effect from 1st October 2026.
