All Registrations / Licenses / Approvals in the State of West Bengal under various labour laws are to be submitted through the State Single Window i.e. Silpasathi
The Labour Department of West Bengal, vide a notification dated 27th December 2022, has informed that the following services will be provided exclusively through the State Single Window i.e. Silpasathi and all applications are to be submitted online through this portal only with effect from 1st January, 2023 instead of Department’s standalone systems.
1. License under The Factories Act. 1948
2. Auto Renewal of License under The Factories Act, 1948
3. Approval of Plan and permission to construct/extend/or take into use any building as a factory under the Factories Act, 1948
4. Registration of Boilers Manufactures under The Boilers Act, 1923
5. Renewal of Registration of Boilers Manufactures under The Boilers Act, 1923
6. Registration of Boilers under The Boilers Act, 1923
7. Renewal of Registration under The Boilers Act, 1923
8. License for contractors under provision of The Contracts Labour (Regulation and Abolition) Act, 1970
9. Auto renewal of license for contractors under provision of The Contracts Labour (Regulation and Abolition) Act, 1970
10. Registration under The Shops and Establishment Act, 1963
11. Registration of Principal Employer’s Establishment under provision of The Contract Labour (Regulation and Abolition) Act, 1970
12. Registration under the Building and Other Construction Workers (Regulation of Employment and Conditions of Service) Act, 1996
13. Registration of Principal Employer’s Establishment under the Inter State Migrant Workmen (RE&CS) Act, 1979
It is to be noted that for the Registrations / Licenses / Approvals availed through Department Portal before 1st January 2023, the Renewal of such Registrations / License / Approvals will be issued from the Department portal itself.
