Central Government notifies application procedure for examination of core activities of establishment

The Ministry of Labour and Employment (“Ministry”) notifies the manner and process of making an application by the aggrieved party to the Central Government for examining the question as to whether any activity of an establishment is a core activity or otherwise.

Key Highlights:

1. Aggrieved party may submit an application in the prescribed form (attached) along with all relevant supporting documents either through e-mail at: lwa-mole@gov.in or by speed post which may be addressed to the Under Secretary (Contract Labour), Ministry of Labour and Employment, Government of India.
2. The Ministry may refer such application to the designated authority appointed.
3. Basis the materials in possession or enquiry, the designated authority will submit a report containing its recommendation to the Ministry within 60 days of the receipt of application.
4. The Ministry will upon receipt of report decide the question within 30 days.
5. The decision of the Ministry will be communicated to the aggrieved party.
