Covid-19 induced restrictions withdrawn in the NCT of Delhi; emphasis laid on adhering to Covid Appropriate Behaviour and National Directives for Covid Management

With a significant decline in Covid-19 cases and positivity rates, the Delhi Disaster Management Authority has withdrawn all Covid-19 induced restrictions in the NCT of Delhi since 28th February, 2022 (midnight) till further Orders.
However, the following must be strictly adhered to:
1. Covid Appropriate Behaviour including wearing of masks, maintaining social distancing, ensuring hand hygiene and other guidelines mandated in the National Directives for Covid Management shall be strictly followed;
2. All schools, coaching institutes, etc. are required to follow the Standard Operating Procedure and operate in the blended hybrid mode which includes both online and offline methods of learning for students up to Class 9 and Class 11;
District Magistrates, District DCPs and other concerned authorities must ensure the strict compliance of Covid Appropriate Behaviour in their respective jurisdictions.
[Note: Any violation of the above-mentioned will lead to proceedings under Section 188 of the Indian Penal Code, Sections 51 to 60 of the Disaster Management Act and other applicable laws, besides imposition of fine under the notification of Health and Family Welfare Department, GNCTD. However, the Health and Family Welfare Department is required to issue orders for reducing the fine to Rs. 500/- from Rs. 2000/- in respect of violation of Covid Appropriate Behaviour].
