DDMA eases COVID-19 induced restrictions in the NCT of Delhi outside Containment Zones; private offices permitted to operate with 50% attendance; Weekend and Night Curfew to continue

The Delhi Disaster Management Authority has revised certain prohibitions/ restrictions in the NCT of Delhi upon witnessing a decline in the number of Covid-19 cases and positivity rates.
Key Highlights:
- Private Offices are allowed to function with up to 50% attendance with immediate effect. However, private offices are advised to operate with staggered work hours and ensure social distancing at work. Work from home to be encouraged as much as possible;
- Night Curfew shall continue to be imposed from 10:00 pm to 5:00 am in the entire NCT of Delhi;
- Weekend Curfew shall commence from 10:00 pm on Friday and extend till 5:00 am of the subsequent Monday in the entire State.
[Note: Officers involved in essential services, medical professionals, pregnant women, people coming from or going to airports or railway stations, people catering to electronic and print media, etc. are exempted from the restrictions on movement during night/weekend curfew. However, production of valid ID cards/ proofs is required in such cases.]
The following guidelines shall continue to be implemented:
- Functioning of Industrial Establishments, Production and Manufacturing units and construction activities and are permitted (outside Containment Zones);
- Shops and Establishments catering to essential services such as food, groceries, hospital services, vaccination, medicines, cold storage, dairy and milk booths, etc. are allowed to function;
- Delhi Metro transportation may operate with 100% seating capacity and standing passengers shall not be allowed;
- Buses may operate with 100% seating capacity and no standing passengers along with entry from the rear-door and exit from the front door by all the passengers boarding the bus;
- There shall be no restriction on inter-State or intra-State movement of goods (essential or non-essential) and no pass or separate permission is required for such movement.
Any violation of the above-mentioned will lead to proceedings under Section 188 of the Indian Penal Code and Sections 51 to 60 of the Disaster Management Act, besides imposition of fine under the notification of Health and Family Welfare Department, GNCTD.
