Delhi Municipal Corporation urges businesses and organizations in NDMC Area to dispose e-waste through CPCB/DPCC approved vendors; reiterates SC decision prohibiting burning e-waste in open spaces

Reiterating the Supreme Court’s decision in M.C. Mehta Vs. Union of India & Ors. [dated 13.12.2023 in WP (Civil) No.13029/1985], where burning of e-waste in open spaces is strictly prohibited, the Delhi Municipal Corporation, in a recent Public Notice has urged all residents, businesses and organizations in NDMC (New Delhi Municipal Corporation) Area to abide by proper e-waste disposal methods, including recycling and responsible disposal through authorized channels.

The e-waste can be disposed through any of the CPCB/DPCC approved vendors listed on New Delhi Municipal Council (NDMC) website at: New Delhi Municipal Council (ndmc.gov.in).
