DGFT issues Amendment in Handbook of Procedures, 2023; Revises form ANF-2A for making online application for IEC

The Directorate General of Foreign Trade (DGFT), through a recent public notice, has issued an amendment in Handbook of Procedures (HBP) 2023, revising Para 2.08 of the HBP.

Key amendments are as follows:

• Form ANF-1A, relating to the profile of Exporters and Importers have been merged with ANF-2A.
• A revised Form ANF-2A has been issued for applications of Importer Exporter Code (IEC).
• The details submitted in the IEC application will be validated through online integration with records maintained by relevant Ministries/ Departments/Organisations/Banks wherever feasible.
