Drugs Rules, 1945 amended to expand the list of permissible colours that may be used for disinfectants
The Health Ministry has amended the Drugs Rules, 1945 to notify the permissible colours which may be used for disinfectants. Now, in addition to the colours specified under Rule 127 of the Drugs Rules, 1945, the colours referred in IS 4707 (Part I) and the colours listed in the Drugs (Sixth Amendment) Rules, 2022 (which are non-staining) are permitted to be used for disinfectants.
