Environment Ministry notifies amendments to the Environment (Protection) Rules, 1986; inserts a provision regarding supply of Genset and Genset engine

The Ministry of Environment, Forest and Climate Change has notified the Environment (Protection) fourth Amendment Rules, 2023 (“Amendment”) to further amend the Environment (Protection) Rules, 1986 (“Rules”).

The Amendment inserts a proviso in the Schedule appended to the Rules which permits the supply of Genset and Genset engine till 30^th June, 2024 in respect of which purchase order has been received by the manufacturer on or before the 30th June, 2023.
