EPFO enables employees to download Transfer Certificate in Annexure K from Member Portal

The Employees’ Provident Fund Organisation (“EPFO”) has introduced a new facility allowing employees to directly download the Transfer Certificate in Annexure K from the Member Portal. Annexure K is the key document containing details of PF balance, service history for pension computation, and employment records, which is generated during transfer of PF accumulations from one employer to another.

Key Highlights:

1. Employees can now download Annexure K themselves through Online Services → Track Claim Status → Download Annexure K on the Member Portal.
2. The availability of Annexure K online helps employees track their PF transfer status and address grievances related to pending transfers without additional employer intervention.
3. While transfer claims continue to be initiated either through Form 13 or auto-transfer upon new contributions, employers should guide employees to use this facility for smoother resolution of transfer-related issues.
