EPFO introduces Digital Joint Request format for all new cases of enhanced EPF contributions under Employees’ Provident Fund Scheme

With a view to reduce time and paper consumption, the Employees’ Provident Fund Organization has issued a format for making a Joint Request which is required to be filed and processed in digital mode under *Para 26 (6) of Employees’ Provident Fund Scheme, 1952 for all new cases going forward.

Further, it is clarified that existing members contributing beyond the statutory limit and employers paid administrative charges, are not required to file their Joint Requests digitally in the new format immediately.

Cases related to Pension on Higher Wages, as per the Supreme Court Judgement dated 4th November, 2022, are already addressed in an earlier Circular dated 14th June, 2023.
