FSSAI extends the period for modification/migration of license by existing FSSAI Licensed Manufacturers till 31st March, 2022

The Food Safety and Standards Authority of India has issued an order regarding extending the period for modification/ migration of license by existing FSSAI Licensed Manufacturers till 31st March 2022.

Previously, the date for mandatory modification of license as per the new methodology for Standardised Product Selection in FoSCoS was till 31st December 2021.

Key Highlights:

1. Manufacturers of products covered under Food Safety and Standards (Health Supplements, Nutraceuticals, Food for Special Dietary Use, Food for Special Medical Purpose, Functional Food and Novel Food) Regulations, 2016 must mandatorily migrate from State License to Central License.
2. FBOs who do not get their license modified or migrated by 31st March 2022 will not be able to apply for renewal of license.
