FSSAI improvises inspection checklist and the method of allotting marks to FBOs with a view to efficiently inspect Food Businesses

The Food Safety and Standards Authority of India (“FSSAI”) has further improvised the Inspection checklist and the method of allotting the marks as per Kind of Business (“KoB”) to facilitate Food safety officers to efficiently inspect Food Businesses.

Going forward, marks should be given only to those requirements which are applicable as per the respective KoB. The requirements that are “Not Applicable” to a food business should be omitted/ ignored while evaluating the Inspection Score / Grading.

The above-mentioned change is also incorporated in online portals FoSCoS/ FoSCoRIS for conducting inspections with immediate effect.
