On 14th November 2023 the Food Safety and Standards Authority of India (“FSSAI”) has intimated that the Food Safety Compliance System (“FoSCoS”) has been launched in multiple regional languages to enhance the user experience and accessibility. This will allow local food businesses to easily connect with the online portal while empowering a wider range of users and increasing participation and compliance within the food ecosystem.
The portal is now available in Gujarati, Tamil, Telegu, Marathi, apart from Hindi and English. There are plans to launch the portal in Kannada, Punjabi, Malayalam, Assamese, Bengali and Odia soon.
