FSSAI operationalizes provision relating to the standards of Crude Corn Oil under the Draft FSS (Food Products Standards and Food Additives) Amendment Regulations, 2022; effective immediately
The Food Safety and Standards Authority of India (“FSSAI”), vide Gazette Notification dated 26th May, 2022, issued the Draft Food Safety and Standards (Food Products Standards and Food Additives) Amendment Regulations, 2022 (“Draft Regulations”) to further amend the Food Safety and Standards (Food Products Standards and Food Additives) Regulations, 2011 and invited objections or suggestions by 27th July, 2022.
Now, in order to allow the Food Business Operators to import crude corn oil, FSSAI has decided to operationalize the provision of the Draft Regulations relating to the standards of Crude Corn (Maize) Oil with immediate effect.
