FSSAI permits instant modification of license on receipt of application for addition or deletion of non-high risk standardized food products by FBOs holding valid license for manufacturing food products

With a view to facilitate ease of doing business and streamlining the process of modification of license, the Food Safety and Standards Authority of India, has made the following decisions with respect to the application made by Manufacturers for addition or deletion of non-high risk standardized food products in the existing license:

1. Instant modification will be made in the license on receipt of modification applications for addition of any of the standardized food products under the Vegetable Oil and Processing Units KoB and General Manufacturing KoB except the High-Risk Food Categories 01, 08, 09, 13 and 99;
2. This is applicable only with respect to the existing Licensed Manufacturers;
3. The modification fees shall be same i.e., Rs. 1000/- [plus any differential fee due to change in fee slab within the same category of license].

The above-mentioned has been implemented in the FoSCoS portal with effect from 23rd december, 2022.
