Haryana Labour Dept. cautions Factory Owners against non-compliance with SOPs during manufacturing processes; Dept. will conduct inspection from August 2022 to check status of compliance

In a recent Public Notice/Advisory, the Labour Department, Government of Haryana has cautioned all the Factory Owners/ stakeholders in the State to carry out their manufacturing processes safely and in accordance with the Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) displayed at the departmental website i.e. www.hrylabour.gov.in

Post 60 days from the date of this Advisory i.e. August 2022, the officers of the Labour Department may inspect/check the status of compliance at your premises.

Background:

To minimize fire accidents and dangerous occurrences in the factories, the Labour Department has prepared the Standard Operating Procedure (SOPs) for the factories, where the hazardous chemicals, gases and other flammable substances are being used. The SOPs are prepared in accordance with the prescribed schedules defined under the rules framed under the Factories Act, 1948. These SOPs are for all the stakeholders, to follow these procedures while doing manufacturing activities.
