Himachal Pradesh Govt. extends closing hours of shops and commercial establishments from 9 pm to 11 pm till 31.07.2023
The Government of Himachal Pradesh has extended the closing hours of shops and commercial establishments covered under the Himachal Pradesh Shops and Commercial Establishments Act, 1969 (“Act”) from 9:00 pm to 11:00 pm till 31st July, 2023.
Background: As per the provisions of the Act, the State Government, by notification can fix the opening and closing hours of all classes of establishments. Accordingly, notifications regarding the same were issued by the Department of Labour and Employment, Government of Himachal Pradesh.
[Note: This Notification is in supersession of earlier notifications of this Department regarding opening and closing hours and is subject to applicability of other provisions of Act and other applicable labour laws]
