Jammu and Kashmir Govt. extends the COVID-19 containment measures till further Orders; offices required to regulate attendance of employees in a manner to ensure social distancing norms

Government of Jammu and Kashmir (“J&K”) has extended the Covid-19 containment measures till further Orders are notified.
Key Highlights:
• All offices are required to regulate the attendance of employees in a manner to ensure social distancing norms;
• The Covid Appropriate Behaviour (“CAB”) shall be strictly adhered to;
• Offline classes in schools, colleges, universities, ITIs, coaching centres for Civil services/ Engineering / NEET etc, shall be allowed subject to the following conditions:
a. All the students at colleges, universities, ITIs etc., carries their vaccination certificates with them. Further, regular screening at entry points of the institutions along with testing of symptomatic
b. students are ensured in order to contain any possibility if spread of Covid-19 virus;
c. All the school students above the age of 15 years i.e., students of 9th to 12th standards are vaccinated. Further, strict adherence to CAB along with screening and testing of symptomatic students is ensured;
d. Both the students and faculty members of the Coaching centres are fully vaccinated, and CAB are adhered to.
• Micro Containment Zones will be constituted wherever the number of Covid-19 Positive Cases reach 3 and above. No person will be allowed to move in or out from such Zones expect in case of medical emergencies or for essential services;
• Maximum number of people permitted to attend any indoor gathering shall strictly restricted to 50% of the capacity of the venue;
• The following categories of asymptomatic incoming passengers by, Air / Rail / Road, to the UT of J&K shall not be required to undergo RT-PCR Rapid Antigen Covid-19 test on arrival, if they carry:
a. a valid and verifiable Final Vaccination certificate. Or,
b. a valid and verifiable RT-PCR Covid-19 Negative report taken within 72 hrs. of arrival time.
• RT-PCR or Rapid Antigen Covid-19 Tests shall be conducted on Symptomatic Incoming Passengers by Air / Rail / Road to J&K.
• Inter-State movement of passenger transport of SRTC / Stage Contract Private Passenger Buses shall be permitted only for fully vaccinated persons with verifiable RT-PCR not older than 72 hours or based on RAT on-spot with strict compliance with CAB.
